Center Directions

The city of Bhuj is the closest major city to Dhamma Sindhu, and has trains coming in from Delhi and Mumbai, and also has regular flights coming in from those cities. Some different ways to reach the center are provided below.

From Mumbai (Bombay)

By Air to Bhuj : Jet Airways & Kingfisher Airlines have daily flights to Bhuj. For latest information about departure and arrival timings please visit:

From Bhuj to Dhamma Sindhu is a 85 km drive and details for this journey are provided below.

By Air to Kandla : Air Deccan also has daily flights Mumbai to Kandla :

From Kandla to Dhamma Sindhu is a 120 km drive. Flights from Mumbai via Ahmedabad to Bhuj also exist with Air Deccan.

By Train to Bhuj : The western railway runs two trains daily to Bhuj both starting from Bandra Terminus, Mumbai. The overnight journey takes about 17 hrs.
Kutch Express Train No. 9031 : Departs at 5:10pm and reaches Bhuj at 9:00 am.
Sayaji Nagari Express / Bhuj Express Train No. 9115 : Departs at 2.40 p.m. and reaches Bhuj at 7.50 am.
During the summer and Diwali holidays special trains are also available.

From Delhi

By Train to Bhuj : Al Hazrat Express via Ahmedabad Train no. 4311 : Departs from Old Delhi at 11.20 am and reaches Gandhidham the next day at 1:00pm and Bhuj at 2:40pm (27 hr journey, 1550 km). This train runs 4 times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
New Al Hazrat Exp via Palanpur Train no. 4321 : Departs from Old Delhi at 11.20 am and reaches Gandhidham next day 9.00am Bhuj at 10.30am. This train runs on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.

From Ahmedabad, Gujarat

By Bus to Bhuj: Private luxury buses start from the Paldi area of Ahmedabad and local auto rickshaws can take you to this area. The preferred private luxury bus operators from Ahmedabad to Bhuj are :

These sleeper buses start around 9 pm and bring you to Bhuj the next day around 6 am.

By Train to Bhuj: The trains going via Ahmedabad to Bhuj are also available but depart at 1 to 2 am in the early morning and bring you to Bhuj the next day at 8 to 9 am.

From Gandhidham

Dhamma Sindhu is 125km from Gandhidham. A private taxi (≈ Rs.1000/-) can be hired straight to center, or share-taxis or ST buses. These will take you to Mandvi. (For the Mandvi – Bada journey, please see below)

From Bhuj

One may hire a private taxi straight to Bada (≈ Rs.900/-) or may opt for a shared rickshaw styled taxi (Chakada) to Mandvi (≈ Rs.150 to Rs.200/-). If one prefers traveling by bus, it is advisable to take a bus to Mandvi, & not to Bada (the bus from Bhuj to Bada bus takes 5 hours). The route from Bhuj to Mandvi is 58 km, and from Mandvi to Bada is 22km. All taxi rates given are approximate.

(bus) depot directly to Dhamma Sindhu: at 12 am , & 4.00 pm on the opening day of each course. Auto rickshaws & taxis are also available at Mandvi ST station to reach Bada. It is a five minute walk to the center from the Bada village's bus stop.
